Allison at Quarry Bank, Brigham completed
« on: Friday 26 June 09 13:37 BST (UK) »
in 1883 Isaac Allison was farmer at Quarry Bank on the west end of Brigham.  His daughter Martha married first a Carter who died.  She married second Nov. 6,1875 at Brigham Church James Greggains.  Can any one give me Isaac Allison in the various census years?   Any information on Mr. Carter?

Hi,  :D
If you lookupthe  freebmd site online you should  find both  marriages there..as well as the death date for Mr Carter.
Search using Martha Allison as the search term... then when you find a marriage ibn the right time frame and district click on the page number and it will tell you the names of the two possible males for the groom... you know the groom's surname  so it will give you his Christian name.
Hope that makes sense :D

Geoff-E Thanks for the great detail and CharlotteCH thanks for the tip.
Is UNTHANK really a surname?

Between 250 and 300 on each of 1851 and 1861 censuses.

Geoff-E I appreciate all of your hard work and certainly don't mean to sound greedy, but, any chance of finding the Isaac Allison family of Quarry Bank in the 1881, a891 and 1901 censuses?
