I am prety new to this genealogy game and I am seeking any information on Margaret McGregor 1836 who was born in St Kitts and moved to Dunkeld Scotland where she married at 21.
I think her father's name was Alexander.
Can anyone help with her ancesters or advise where I would look to fond something.

Is McGregor her last name or was it her husbands last name?

McGregor was her maiden name, she came over from the west indies and was married at 21 as was her husband who was called george waterston and they had two sons before george died at an early age, she went on to have another four children all illegitimate, one of them was my great grandfather.
i am trying to find out more about her early years in Jamaica, and i am totally lost

Margaret's only daughter, Christina, is my great-grandmother and I am also searching for information on Margaret. Her marriage certificate to George lists Alexander McGregor, farmer, as her father and says that she didn't know her mother's name. Does anyone know what year George Waterson died. I think his sons may have emmigrated to Canada ... still working on that one.
