My grandmother got her brother in law to do a survey and he got the basis of everyone. I'm so happy to find someone from my paternal side I've never met.

Unfortunately Emily Cummins is unknown to me. What sort of timeframe? My Cummins line left Ireland 1864 for New Zealand.

Hi Trish,
I have no idea when they actually arrived in Tasmania as they seem to be 'swimmers' and I have not found any records.  James Short was a Mariner for some time after emigration.  I'd say 1850's but I think Emily came from London.  Still hunting (as we all are!)...
