Crawford of Glanford Brigg
« on: Tuesday 23 June 09 11:18 BST (UK) »
Hi.

I'm an Australian and I've been trying to research my ancestors who emigrated from England. My reserach so far has led me to this county and to Glanford Brigg to be specific.

I'd love information on some of the following relatives:

Robert Crawford
Born 10/09/1770
Died 2/6/1843

and his father George Crawford
Born 5/3/1731
Died 13/12/1788

Also, the first Robert's son Robert Crawford jnr
Born christmas day 1802
Death unknown

His brother Abraham is my ancestor.

With George, I really want to find his parents details or any details of ancestors.

GEORGE Crawford
Christened; 5 March 1731, Frodingham, Lincs
Parents, ABR. and FRAN

( presume Abraham and Frances)

Cant find Robert born 1770's christening to confirm George as his father and mothers name but this is a possible;

Marriage;
George CRAWFORD
Sarah SMITH,  20 November 1776, Redbourne, Lincs

I will find other marriages of Abrahams siblings some other time as it is late here ::)

HELLO Alison
Abraham Crawford and Mary Cash were my ggggrandparents.  I am also interested in finding out as much as I can, have a few records from Tasmania.  I would love to hear from any other descendants.

I am literally stunned.

WOW!

There were a few Abrahams in my side of the family. I descend from Abraham's son Henry, who was my great great great grandfather. His son was Carl Vivian, whose son was Anthony Carl [my grandfather]. Carl died in 1977 before I could meet him.

I'm amazed! Any information I can give you, please let me know.

Hello Alison...how exciting making contact....!.I descend from Abraham's daughter Fanny who married Charles Ingamells at age 15 in 1860.  I would love any info. A genealogist gave me the names of the gggggrandfathers and that info led me here.  I did not realise we came from such an unbroken line of Crawfords. Henry was Fanny's brother is that right?
