On Gordon's map of Fife dated 1642 there's a hamlet or farm named Bonally Beath - difficult to place exactly, but its position appears to be about a mile and a half SW from Cowdenbeath railway station, and just north of Hill of Beath village.
There are a lot of 'beaths' - Swintons Beath, Keirs Beath, Steinsons Beath, Hackstons Beath etc - in the immediate vicinity, so it looks as if Bonally Beath was occupied by someone with the name Bonally.
It also appears on Blaeu's map of Fife dated 1654, but it seems to be copied from the 1642 map. It doesn't seem to be on any later maps.
