Marriage of William Gill and Mary Barker at St Peter's Leeds in 1799
« on: Thursday 18 June 09 21:22 BST (UK) »
There are two different IGI records for the marriage of William Gill and Mary Barker at St Peter's Leeds in 1799; 21 October and 21 November 1799.   Can anyone please tell me which of these dates is the correct one for  my 3 x g.grandparents?

Willam (baptised at Bardsey) was born in the hamlet of Wike near Harewood.   Mary was born in Holbeck in Leeds.  I have searched long and often for information about their parents and grandparents, etc., but without success.  Does anyone have anything to tell me about them?

Any info. would be greatly welcomed.

The November one is an extracted entry, the October one is submitted, I'd go with the November marriage.

Many thanks for your comment.  I generally agree.  I have always had the November date recorded in my base Family Tree records.

Best regards,

Hi Bernard,

I checked the marriage for you when in Leeds Archives today, the 21st November is the correct date.
I have taken a copy for you and if you pm me your email address I will send it to you

There doesn't appear to be any info on there that will help you, sadly.

Best wishes,

Elin
