Hi1
I am interested in sharing information about McCahon genealogy in Londonderry area especially around Kilrea. My own family came from Culnaman (a townland near Kilrea and not far from Moynock) and I have fairly detailed family tree back to at least 1861. Have you made much progress in your researches on the McCahon side?

Hi Microbe

We have communicated in the past and thanks for the info you sent me about my ggrandfather, Thomas Neely, who married Ruth McCahon. We did not believe at the time that there was a connection between our families, however having looked at their marriage details the marriage was witnessed by Agnes Michael. I notice that your McCahons married into the Michael family, do you have any record of Agnes, could she have neen related to Ruth McCahon? I know it may be a very long shot as aghadowey says there were many "Michaels" in the area at the time.
