Sounds like it might be the display resolution. Assuming it's a Windows machine (?) right-click on the desktop, select Properties from the pop-up menu and go to Settings then change the resolution to one that fits the screen (a "bigger" set of numbers, e.g. 1024x768).

tried that but still the same, it's just some of the net pages that are over lapping the screen, the icons in the tray at the bottom of the screen look big also!
it's a windows machine with windows xp sp3.

Don't know if this is any use but found this quote when trying to find the nb100's native reolution:

"A bizarre option is included when pressing Fn+ESC, which for some reason dumps the screen to 800x600, a significant drop from the native 1,024x600. We're at a loss as to why it even exists. The screen is also capable of enabling resolutions of up to 1,920x1,080, but anything above 1,024x600 will result in you requiring to scroll the screen using the mouse. It's a nice work-around though for those applications that haven't been designed to take the netbook's low resolution screen into account, including the bundled Norton Internet Security (NIS), with the first pop up already beyond the limits of usable screen real estate."

So the netbook's native resolution is 1024x600. If for some reason it's not using the correct display adapter driver, that resolution may not be available?

Are there any warning triangles in Device Manager - especially the Display Adapters section?

Control Panel >> System >> Hardware tab >> Device Manager button

In Control Panel >> Display >> Settings tab

Is there a device listed under where it says:

Display:

Sussex: Floate, West
Kent: Tuffee
Cheshire: Gradwell
Lancashire: Gradwell
