Thank you so much! I'm living in Cardiff at the moment but hope to be up in St Helen AUckland in August to see this for myself. In the meantime, it answers and confirms a few questions.

I am looking for Atkinson's in Quarrington/Kelloe who may have had connections with St Helen's. A John Atkinson or William who married Isabella Lee. Can you help please?

Hello. There is only one gravestone with a John Atkinson.
The gravestones from around the 1850's  for  a John Banks, John and Elizabeth Atkinson all late of West Auckland.

Hello again. On the first posting of the subject M inscriptions St Helen I posted a list of all the surnames that are on the gravestones in the graveyard )St Helen is in two parts)
When you posted the names Prout and Regan I thought I had made some mistake because I could not find them.

Hello Schooner. Just one for Burton. It is in a poor condition but here is what can be read.

Matilda, beloved wife of William Burton, who died January/20?/1882 aged 68 years.

On the other side of the stone it reads :-Barbara, the beloved wife of Charles Dodds, who died November/30/1872 age 26?
