Hello Jay. Sorry about the delay. Here it is:-

Sacred to the memory of Mr? H Brodbelt, late of Breckon Foot in Yorkshire, who died in ye year1700.
Also of his son Mich'l Brodbelt of S H Auckland, who died October the 30th 1706 age 72 years
Also of his grandson Mich'l, who died October ? 1796.
Also of his 3? wife Mary Lily Ann?
Also of Michael Watson, son of Robert and Jane Watson.

There is more on the stone but it is below ground level and I never disturb the grave area.

Adam

Could you look up the entries for Little? I'm particularly looking for Elizabeth Little (died Dec 1870) and William Little (died Jul 1871) both of St Helen Auckland.

And is there a Mary Brown (died Jan 1879)?

Many thanks

Hi Adam,

you're doing a great job providing these inscriptions - Good on you!

Have you any Todd inscriptions in the West Auckland area?  There should be quite a few as it was a common enough name in those parts.  Any you have would add to my store of knowledge.

Many thanks,

Simon

Hello Simon. They may be lots of Todds in the area but I only have three for St Helen WA:--
To the memory of Dorothy the wife of James Williamson, daughter of John and Hannah Todd, who died November the 15 1760 aged 23 years.
Also John the aforesaid John and Hannah Todd, who died March/28/1771 age 20 years.
Also Dorothy the daughter of the aforesaid James and Dorothy (rest covered by undergrowth at the time)

Sacred memory of Elizabeth, daughter of John and Hannah Todd, who died September/30/1766 aged 20 years
In loving memory of Elizabeth, wife of William Todd of Westerton? died January/30/1895 aged 69 years.

Hello Ruthbie. Been out of fettle for a while and nearly missed this one.. Anyway this is one stone that you are looking for :-

Sacred to the memory of Ann Little, daughter of William and Elizabeth Little of St Helen, West Auckland,
Who died 14/April/1842 in the 20th year of her age.
Also the above named William Little, who died  July/17/1871 aged 85 years.
And of Elizabeth, his wife, who died December/19/1870 age 84 years.
