Hello Whipby.
Here are the inscriptions. Both the stones are badly eroded hence the ??????????
but I think that if they are yours you may get some information.

To the memory of Mary, daughter of James and Margaret Heslop of West Auckland, who departed this life on thee 13th day of June 1830 aged 24 years.
Also James Heslop, father of the above Mary Heslop, died May/9/???? aged 60? years.
Also of Margaret Heslop, wife of the above James Heslop, she died 31?/???/1849 aged 60 years.

To the memory of Thomas Heslop, Hulme Hill, near West Auckland, who died September/16/1814 aged 65 years.
Also Mary his daughter who died July/??/????/ age 21 years
Also ??????, wife of the aboveThomas? Heslop ?????this life ??/???/???? aged 84 years.

I know there are lots of ????????????? but that is the best that I could do.

Thank you very much for the information, Adam.  It sounds like you made a special trip to look at the stones - I was assuming that you had a typed transcription document that you could just look at!

Unfortunately I can't tie in these Heslops with my own, at the moment, but do appreciate your effort on my behalf and will keep the information in case I do ever find a link.

Many thanks again.

Hi Adam, thank you for those, that's very kind of you.

The Mankin's are cousins so great to have that.

I hadn't come across thos Chamberlains before and I can't find them in the censuses either, but they may well be relatives so I'll dig around a bit more.

Was there another Chamberlain headstone? I just wondered as it was Chamberlain (Robson) in your list which caught my attention as I have links to both Chamberlain's and Robson's in Auckland but didn't know of a marriage between them.

Thanks again, Paul.

Hello Paul. Yes there was a Robson but it was on the bottom of that stone.
It does not give a lot of info because it was so difficult to read  but here it is.

"Also Ann  Robson who died ?? ???????18?? age 31?.
Not a lot of help I am afraid.

I'm interested in the Hall, Hunter names.

Moreover, if there were any Trathan or Thom in the complete list, I'd be interested in them too.

Very many thanks,
Jon

Also Margaret, wife of the above, who died May/9/1899 aged 77 years.
Also of Sarah the beloved wife of Joseph Linsley of Evenwood and daughter of the above, who died July/6/1882 aged 35 years.
