Joe and Dora Weinthrop
« on: Saturday 13 June 09 15:54 BST (UK) »
Please can someone do a look up for me.... Joe and Dora Weinthrop, possibly Mile End Old Town or near. Children Monty(Marks) and David. I want to know what town Joe was born in. I know it was in Poland/Russia, circa 1877. Could it have been Radom?

Please, can anyone see the town where Joe was born.
Does it say Ruden, or could it be Radom?

I am sure that I saw the entry on the 1901 Census.... the original, not the transcribed record....a few years ago, on the far right hand side of the document.

I remember that it was free to search the census on the internet at that time.

Now, some more information has come to light about the possible town/village origins of the family.

The late Bud Flanagan of the Crazy Gang, was a cousin. His real name was Chaim Weintrop.

Hi, Radom was in southern Russian Poland. If you Google the name there is a web site that covers this area and jewish history.
