Rotten writing!  The enumeration sheet in 1851 has 'the North side of a Lane behind Queen Street...'  not sure if that's what it refers to. 

There's a John Stephenson (pilot) & family further on - maybe they're all related :-\

Will wait now to see if your friend has more information  :)

I'll have to ask him for more details - it would be easier if I has the source documents.

I have a suspicion that the Stephenson's there are related.
