The picture I posted was taken in the year 2000.
I am now posting another, of the same stone, taken in 2011.

The area behind the wall is the "Private" burial ground, a walled area developed by a private company in 1861. One view is looking toward the stone, the other is taken from the stone.

The Ramsay stone is on the left. Looking towards the cemetery entrance and office. The large yew tree is marked on the 1859 ordinance survey map and pre-dates the cemetery.

Lodger, would you have any information regarding a A Young that is on the Scottish Monumental Inscriptions record set as being buried at Carnwath Graveyard via Find my Past of which I cannot find on Scotland's People...I am trying to find and have been for many years for Andrew Young who was married to Janet Weir, they are both at Brownhill Farm living with Janet's brother in 1851 Scotland's Census and Janet then turns up in 1861 as a Widow with daughter Agnes and grand daughter Janet living at Cat H Burnhouse, Carnwath, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Andrew Young occupation Miller is listed on his daughter Janet Young to Alexander Forrest marriage in 1861 as being deceased
I have a letter that mentions between Andrew and Janet's son Samuel to his Uncle in Canada after Samuel asks his uncle if he remembered when Andrew died but unfortunately his Uncle doesn't remember
