Thanks for the link.  I couldn't open the maps, do you have to go to thelibrary itself or is there a way of opening it on-line.  Sorry for sonding so stupid on this.

if you click on the 'Download Jpeg' link you should get a dialog which allows you to open the image in Windows Picture viewer.

if this does not work try - you can save the image using right click on the link and then  'save link as..' / 'save target as..' and then open the saved file.

just noticed that in Internet Explorer you have to click on the 'contents' tab near the top of the page to see the download options.
