on the 1841 there is a JOHN CORKER and BETTY CORKER living in Pendleton (Salford)

John Corker age 64 Milk Seller (not born in county)
Betty Corker age 50 (Born in county)

HO107 Piece 543 Book 3

Who would that be? Thomas' father with a second marriage?

I would imagine it's Elizabeth Crank Corker, just using Betty rather than Elizabeth.

  Oh, I didn't realize that Betty was short for Elizabeth but it makes sense now.. thanks for the explanation. (Just type a bit slower please, 'cause I don't read very fast!)
