Louisa Selina Woods named George Samuel Baumgartner as her father on her marriage certificate, Louisa went on to marry George Alderton in 1876 at Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. I am not aware of any contact with her father thereafter. Not able yet to say what became of Susan.

I am not related but am linked to the Baumgartner family. The last on your list is Violet Sibella Baumgartner born 3 January 1856 and baptized 30 January 1856 High Coniscliffe, County Durham, (Darlington), by her father Henry Algernon Baumgartner who was the Vicar of High Coniscliffe at the time. # 2 on your list is Ethel Leonora  Baumgartner who is the sister of  Violet Sibella  and baptized 14 September 1859, Camberwell, Surrey (London). Her father was now the Vicar at Camberwell having left County Durham.

Hello,

I am a direct descendent of George Samuel Baumgartner, still living in Victoria Australia and am incredibly interested in these letters. My family has always wanted to know more about why George came to Australia. Any further information would be incredible, but I would love a copy of the letters!
