The more I look, the more unsure I am.


Maybe the photo in the locket is of her brother who, in the 88th Connaught Rangers, died in Mauritius in 1879, but I don't have a photo of him.

If that's her son, his features aren't much like hers, but he looks similar to the locket...perhaps the locket is her husband....

I wish that I had known him. I saw his name on the memorial at Ploegsteert the year before last. He was born in 1888 and died on my Granny's birthday in 1918.

Okay then, here is the only photo that I have of Great-Grandad. He was born in 1852 and died in 1934.

that is one heck of a question you pose.. dating her poor age lol. I would wager a guess at about 28 or so or possibly very early 30's. You gave 2 clues - her birth date and her older picture.
