 I don't know if you still read/check this but my family lived at 2 Double Junction Row on the 1911 census.

Henry Dilks and Sarah Ann Milsom, they were my Grt Grandparents.

My gg grandparents,Henry and Hannah Clough lived at 7 Double Junction Row,Henry probably worked at the nearby Lamb Pit or possibly at Seaton Delaval colliery which was only a short walk away.They probably knew each other.

They probably did as neighbours were a lot closer in those days and relied on each other more than they do today. It is amazing what we can find out these days.

Do you now if there are any photos/pictures etc around of that area from around the 1890-1920 era? I have never been to Durham/Northumbrland, even though my father came from Durham. We hope to vistit next year sometime after we retire but most of the houses my family lived in don't exist anymore.

hi Sandra,as you say the houses don't exist anymore,its a wooded area but you can walk through it from the nearby Lamb St.I will PM you concerning the photos.

This might be a shot in the dark but I was wondering waht the birth dates off your grandparents are, to see if I have them on my family tree.

This address under this subject appears a lot on census records - double junction row; my family are connected to Cramlington, Seaton Deleval, Seaton Sluice, Burradon and Longbenton.

Henry Clough was born in 1853 at Seaton Sluice and his wife Hannah Mallenby was born in 1855 at Newcastle.Henry had 9 children that i know of.He was was the son of Matthew Clough born 1826 and he had 8 children.Henry's daughter Ruth was one of my g grandmothers.

Hi, folks! Just found this thread (and in fact, the forum itself!) by Googling "Double Junction Row", as I'm researching the Tetley family, who lived in that street circa 1916-onwards - the Tetleys were my Great-Great Grandparents on my Paternal Grandmother's family - William Henry Tetley, and his wife, Sarah Ann...
Does anyone have any information on what number house they lived in, please?

They lived in Cross Row, Cramlington, before this (c1901 Census), and had one sone (Mark, KIA WW1) and five daughters, though I suspect most of the girls would probably have been married (or at least courting) by the time the Tetleys moved to Dbl Junc' Row... Does anyone know where Cross Row is/was? It isn't named on the maps that are linked to this thread - I wonder if it was further west, perhaps?

Any pointers would be most welcome!

hiya my great great grandparents also lived at 7 double junction they were annie clough who married john burlinson. they had my great grandma ella millicent burlinson and she went on to have my grandfather john melvin burlinson (she was un-married when he was born) he married my grandmother audrey errington and my dad melvin burlinson born in that house. my dad then had me heather burlinson.. amazing...
