Hi, Colin.

Are you searching for their ancestors or for their contemporary family members?

George Isaac was he son of Augustus Durrant and Alice Harriet Howard, m. 1892 in Mutford R.D.

Augustus was the son of James Durrant and Rhoda Butcher, m. 1854 Kessingland.

James was the son of Thomas Durrant and Hannah Welton, m. 1816 Southwold?

Thomas was the son of John Durrant and Charlotte Welton, m. 1778 Kessingland.

Does this help?

John was the son of James Durrant and Lydia Hill, m. 1750, Kessingland.

Glad to help.

Alice Harriet S. Haward / Howard was born in 1873 in Kew, Surrrey, the daughter of Samuel Augustus Haward, b. 1850, Wrentham, and Sarah Eliza Sustins, b. 1847, Pakefield. They were married in 1872 in Brentford R.D.

Samuel Augustus was the son of Samuel Haward, a Sawyer, and Lydia Roberts, both of Wrentham.

Good luck!

Ali

Hi!
I just came across your post about George Durrant. George was my Grandfather's younger brother. The information in the other posts is, as far as my research goes, substantially correct. In particular I believe that the correct spelling is Haward not Howard, but I have seen it spelled both ways.
Have a look Here.

Good Luck.

Hi Jeff,
Welcome to Rootschat :)
I am sure Ali and Colin will be pleased.

Sorry to but in on a thread I have not posted on but I recognised your name.

Your site is a must see for all people with an interest in NZ and an invaluable resource. Keep up the good work ;D
I found your site whilst researching the Tarawera Eruption. I have a connection to the McRaes.

Cheers,
Trish

Sorry Colin, I'm Down Under, with even less access to those resources than you. I had to work from online sources backed up by purchased docs here and there, and I'm still not really certain of some information.
Good luck on your hunt.
