Suffolk and Cumberland Assizes
« on: Sunday 07 June 09 03:57 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find information on 2 convicts in my family line. I know the dates of their trials but can't for the life of me find the Suffolk (1812) and Cumberland (1816) Assizes.

Can anyone give me  a clue or a link to these courts?

Welcome to Rootschat.

Suffolk assizes were held at Bury St Edmunds and at Ipswich, it may be that records are held at both branches of the SRO.

You could email ipswich.ro@suffolk.gov.uk with full details of what you are looking to find?

Every time I find an ancestor,
I have to find two more!

SUFFOLK - Pendle, Stygall, Pipe, Fruer, Bridges, Fisk, Bellamy, Sparham - all link to  Framlingham
DERBY - Bridges and Frost (originally Framlingham/Parham)
NOTTINGHAM - Lambert & Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith LDN - Fulker
LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?
