Ah, but that's the charm of the name and we don't want to lose it. Do you know if you have a Moses Harpur in your family?

Sorry, but I am not aware of any Martins in my tree.  My grandfather was John James.  He was the pilot till his death in 1946.  His father was James and he was the son of Joseph.  I have a few Michaels but not a Martin to be found.  I will be in Wexford on the 23rd of this month, so I will ask my cousin John, if he knows of Moses.
Wexford Town..

Hi Rattler. There are many Harpur families in Wexford. I would agree, I don't think we have a match here. Moses had a brother James (mid-1800's) but again his father would have to have been Martin. I don't know if Martin had a brother Joseph.

Moses and his wife Teresa (Stafford) ran a grocery, liquor store, and pub at 55-57 S. Main Street from late 1800's until early 1900's. They also had a iron store on King Street. Moses' children were John, Francis, Patrick, Aiden, James, William, Molly, Elizabeth (Cullimore). Several emigrated to USA or South Africa. Thanks for the assist. John
