Have located my gt gt gt grandfather Francis Graham Shepherd on English census's 1841 to 1871. He was born in Scotland about 1814, came to London and married a Southwark lass Sarah Gaddes. Had 4 children, although the frist one also Francis Graham died aged 3, went on to have George Henry (my gt gt grandfather), Christiana Amelia and John James. My dilemma is that I cannot locate information regarding the Scottish link. I have contacted many Shepherds in Scotland, but no luck, so I thought I would try this site. Now an interesting point is that on FGShepherd's death certificat it states the informant was his sister C. hall. Now there is a Caroline Amelia Hall but she was Sarah's sister. Perhaps out there somewhere is a descendent of FG Shepherd - surely he had some siblings, perhaps they too came to London - any ideas???
