Owen John Lamb b 1857 lived Crossmaglen
« on: Sunday 31 May 09 04:31 BST (UK) »
I have posted an entry about Owen John Lamb b abt 1857 on the Louth website page but as family memory has him living in or near Crossmaglen I am posting this on here too.

I am trying to trace Owen John Lamb's birth and his parents.  According to census information he was born in Dundalk, Louth sometime around 1857 I have searched all the databases but cannot find an entry for that time and name - the closest is an Owen Lamb in 1853.

His father was a farmer called Michael and supposedly lived near Crossmaglen.  I have found references to two Michael Lambs who were small tenant farmers in Mounthill and Haggardstown around that time (Griffiths) but no way of determining if either one or neither one are my ancestor.

The family were Roman Catholic.

And suggestions welcomed

cheers
Ros

Here's a link to the previous thread in Co. Louth- as it already has some replies I'll lock this one and any more information can be posted under Co, Louth to avoid duplication.
