Hi I've just found out that an ancestor "William Robert Wallace PRIDMORE" was sent to the Guardian School after his mum disappeared and father was in active war service in France

[x1] Rebecca Jane JONES (nee PRIDMORE) b.14/3/1874 (sister to [p1]), (had daug. named Grace) (addr: 17 Ann Street, Islington)
Information Known:
ref 1. [c1,c2,c3] admitted to St Johns Read Workhouse 13JAN1916, last known address for each is different. last known address for [c1] was Holloway Prison, which is odd for a boy age 7 given its a womens prison
ref 2. [c1,c2,c3] discharged from St Johns Road Workhouse 14JAN1916 and ordered to the Receiving Home
ref 3. [c1,c2,c3] admitted to Hornsey Rise Receiving home 14JAN1916, last known address for mother given as unknown
ref 4. [c1] discharged from Hornsey Rise Receiving Home and placed in Guardian School 22JAn1916
ref 5. I have a photo of the father in Royal Engineers uniform with [c3] about 13-15m old with all 3 children [c1,c2,c3] So I guess it must have been best for [c1] to remain in the school as the aunt [x1] already had 4 other children, and only took on two more -[c2,c3]
ref6. Family recollection, was that they were not in the home long, and father [p1] was given leave from the ARMY to sort out his family, and "Aunt Ginnie" [x1] took the two girls into her care until the father [p1] finished the war and remarried in 1925.
(PS : I am in Australia, and unable to visit in person in the near future)
Any info on William Robert PRIDMORE would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Ian
