Hi,

I followed son no. 3's advice (to keep working on computer while the downloading was going on) but no success.   He lives 100 miles away so it looks like another phone call tomorrow..............

Hi Nanny Jan,

I've downloaded it to my PC, split it into three parts and uploaded it as the following three files.

Added: Links now no longer valid. If anyone else would like them reinstated let me know.

You need to download all three of them into one folder and run the 'part1' exe. It will pull the three back together into one and you should have your AVG Free installer called avg_free_stf_en_85_339a1525.exe ready to run.

If you start downloading within about a half hour of me posting this start with part3. Its up there now. Parts 1 and 2 should be up soon. Added: All there now - pick any order.

If you need it split into smaller bits let me know.

NB: Please be sure to download them. If you are offered an 'Open With' dialog, be sure to choose the 'Download to my computer' option.

Good luck, and please let me know when it's all done and dusted. I need to delete them.

Thanks Paul that's very kind of you but my son is emailing me a set of instructions in an attempt to sort out my computer.

For the sake of your own system please delete the files you so kindly organised for me.

It was much easier for our ancestors. papyrus and stone engravings, and most couldn't read!
