Not sure what happened to his children, GRWL, apart from the one who went to Australia. You could try tracking them through this site:
http://www.bmsgh.org/wmbmd/
There are plenty of Darbys here, but not, I think, the praticular line you're looking for:

I googled my Great Grandfathers name and found this site.I thought this may be of interest to you. My mother is daughter to Joe Darbys daughter Lily. I have read previous information that has been given to you and can confirm that my Great Grandad Darby had children which were my Great Aunty Flo Vi Norah Dolly(Dorothy)Uncle Joe and my Granma (Lily)
The names Thomas and Minnie would have been descendants of my Great Grandfathers brothers. If you would like to know any more info I am sure that my mother would be pleased to be able to help you from her memory. I have sat on many an occasion with fascination and listened to her talk of him his travels all those years ago and meeting royalty. I have learnt that he was a very proud but private family man. My mother was asked to open the Joe Darby public house which she did . That was approximately 15 years ago.

Hi JO56,
Thank you for your info, working through a third person makes it awkward at times to get a quick answer to my questions, but certainly in the future I would perhaps like to ask a few questions on behalf of this person ( Vernon Darby b 1932 ) whom I am helping.
Regards
GRWL.
