Hi,
  I`am enquiring on behalf of a computor free house if anyone can give any details of Joseph (Jumping Jack ) Darby born 1861 died 1937 who during his lifetime lived in the village of BELBROUGHTON,Worcs.for a number of years.When and how long did he live in Belbroughton,who are his relatives etc,any info will be most welcome.

1.  JOSEPH9 DARBY  (ABRAHAM8, JOSIAH7, JOSEPH6, DANIEL5, JOHN4, JOHN3, EDMOND2, JOHN1) was born 06 Aug 1861 in Windmill End, Netherton, Dudley, Worcs, and died 22 Dec 1937 in 15, Stone Street, Dudley (Albion Inn).  He married SARAH DANKS 19 Apr 1885 in St Edmund's church, Dudley, Worcs.  She was born Abt. 1866 in Windmill End, Netherton, Dudley, Worcs.

Notes for JOSEPH DARBY:
"Joseph Darby the famous spring jumper, his championship belts are in Dudley Museum. His brother- in-law W Grainger of 20 Himley Ave, Dudley registered his death. Address 1900 - 23, High Street, Netherton. Cause of death: Carcinoma of Liver. Occupation 1912 - 1937 Licensed Victualler" (Linda Taylor, 2008).
