Gloucestershire FHS resource centre is moving!
« on: Wednesday 20 May 09 09:53 BST (UK) »
From June 29th Glos FHS resource centre will be moving to Gloucester Record Office in Alvin Street.  They will be found in the Frith Building next to the main Archives.  Since the FHS hold records which are not always available at the RO, this will be a helpful move for researchers.

For more details and opening hours see http://www.gfhs.org.uk/ResourceCentre.htm

Hi Gill

I've had a peep  ;)  The Frith Building is more user friendly than Spread Eagle Court, no stairs to negotiate!

The move should also encourage more people to make use of the Resource Centre when visiting the Archives.

Hi Susan

One of these days our paths will cross down in Alvin Street!  ;D

You're right, the Frith Building is much more accessible than Spread Eagle Court, and what's more there is a nice little room across in the Archives with a tea and coffee machine, where people can eat their sandwiches, etc.

Regards

Hello

There is also a kitchen at the frith centre.

I have heard that we will not be opening until the 30/6.

Also don't forget that spread eagle court will close 11/6 so we can pack up and move.
