Wayward TIL(L)SONs
« on: Tuesday 19 May 09 20:03 BST (UK) »
Hi!

Was wondering if anyone can help me.....

My 3xg grandfather was Thomas TIL(L)SON born in Kirby Mallory around 1805. He married Jane HOLYLAND in 1832 and went on to have several children with her.

However....at census time he never appears to be living with her - despite the arrival of more children in the interim!

In 1851 he is recorded as being in Sutton Coldfield and lodging with the Leader family. I cannot, however, find him in the 1841 census or the 1861 census - although he may have died by then. Can anyone help me find him?

Also, his daughter, Amy, who appears in the 1841 census in Stoney Stanton and was born around 1836 but disappears without trace by the 1851 census. Where is she? ???

And finally, can anyone help shed some light on who Thomas W TILLSON born in Stony Stanton in the 2nd quarter of 1867 belongs to???

Many thanks in advance

TreeGirl :)

Which of Thomas and Jane's children are you descended from? My line is through Elizabeth Tillson who married John RILEY....
