hi all, can anyone tell me if its yet possible to buy the 1901 cencus for montgomeryshire? s and n say it will be 6-12 months before they release it, or does the gov site have it indexed?. thanks

You can do a free person search on the government site
http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/
by typing in their name, gender, age etc. but you will have to pay to view the transcription or the actual census image. Full details of the fees can be found on the website.
