Can anyone help please, by looking up marriage details of William Danks.
Sept. Qtr. 1884 at West Bromwich.
Vol.6b page 977
Possible wife Margaret Hughes

The reference you have quoted is shown on freebmd as one which has a William Danks and a Margaret Hughes on the same page.  There is also a Mary Jane Harriss on the same page.

This could mean that either of those are the wives of William.

If you know that this is the William Danks you are looking for, and that he married a Margaret around this time, its a fair bet that this could be the marriage you need.

You can use this reference to order a marriage certificate from the Government Records Office (GRO) for £7, or from the local office covering West Bromwich.  The registers for West bromwich are divided between the Birmingham and the Sandwell reg offices.

It is not possible to 'look up' these certificates, as you have to buy them.

             William married Margaret at wednesbury st paul if you go to Westmidlands BMD and look there for sandwell marriage it tell's you the church but not the date only the year hope this helps
