James Hone/Charlotte Hone London
« on: Monday 04 June 07 12:32 BST (UK) »
I am looking for a burial record for either James Hone (b. @ 1780 possibly Ssx) and/or his wife Charlotte Burfield bap. Storrington Sussex 1785. One of their sons Edmund was born in London in 1831 but we do not know where.  Any help very gratefull received as we are completely stuck!

Hi
Do you have any other children for them, only there is a Charlotte Stone (easily could have been Hone originally) widow age 67 born Arundel Sussex in Marylebone in 1851 with widowed daughter Elizabeth Wale born Sussex c 1810. Could this be your Charlotte?
What about James occupation? In case he was still alive in 1841.
I know from your other thread that Edmund can't be found in 41

- was he definitely still alive in 41?

James' occupation was servant on his children's baptisms, and Edmund Hone was still alive by 1841 - thank you for finding this entry I do think it is the right family!

Do you have access to the censuses or do you need the 51 details for Charlotte?
As for Edmund if you have him on later censuses post all the details you have, it may help track him down.

Jan,

Thanks for going to the trouble of searing for Stone rather than Hone - it's take me back one more step!

Thanks again,

 :D

« Reply #5 on: Thursday 07 June 07 13:48 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm trying to find the burial of a James HONE in St Pancras parish sometime betwee 1831 and 1851.  James birth was @ 1780.

If anyone out there could help that would be great!
