Grint
« on: Saturday 16 May 09 14:19 BST (UK) »
Hi

I'm researching brothers who were killed in action during World War 1, both whom lived in Cornforth County Durham and both of whom served with Durham Light Infantry.

They are Fred and Robert Grint, sons of George Grint,  born in Norfolk. George was the son of Thomas and Ellen Grint

What I would dearly love to find is a photograph of Fred and Robert. With Grint being a relatively unusual name and kinship likely to have been retained in Norfolk I wonder if anyone may be related and by some remote possibility have a photograph in their possession. All links here in County Durham, have drawn a blank.

I live in hope.

I have a Grint family in my tree from Cornforth, Charles Robert Grint born 1865, I believe he was George's brother.

Hi Jay,

Not that I'm aware of, however I'll be meeting up with a friend who is connected next week so I'll ask.

Hi

The Grint brothers are my dad's great uncles and he has been trying to track down a photo for a couple of years.  Is there any chance of getting a copy of it.

Thanks
