Need help in find out Hannah Paley parents  name.
Hannah Paley married Thomas Balgue on the 30 December 1805 Saint Peter's Leeds (Re IGI). Hannah was born about 1778 in Notton Yorkshire. Can any help.

Hi Laurence, I asume you have searched in the IGI for Hannah's baptism/birth?

How do you know she was born c 1778 and in Notten?

Theres a christening of a Ann Paley, 2 May 1782 at Saint Peter Leeds, father Richard Paley.

For what it's worth, I have Hannah who are written up as Anne in parish regs.   So carolanne's find  could well be your girl.

Just wondered if that was the same Richard Paley who built many of the back to back houses in Leeds after he had built a factory.

Hello to all,
Thank you for all your help in this.

Information from the 1851 Census give Hannah Balgue nee Paley age has 72 years old and Hannah born in Notton. 
I also have her death cert, Hannah died in Barnsley in 1857 at the age of 79.

And yes I did see the IGI regarding Richard Paley but the name Richard dose not appear anywhere down the line, lots of Thomas and Roberts.

Also there is a Robert Paley he was one of witness on the marriage, re Hannah Paley and Thomas Balgue.
I have come across two Robert Paleys that maybe him.
