John Priest b 1879-80

Hi Rootschatters

I am trying to find the death of my grandfather John Priest, he was born in 1879-80 in Gainsborough Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire.   
I have his marriage and the children from his marriage and where they all  lived until about 1914 then he seems to have dissapeared i have searched ancestry and free bmd and every other site, i can find and can not find out if he was killed in ww1.  Can anyone please help us  my daughter and i do not know where else to look

When you say searched ancestry - do you mean the database, or have you been through every quarter for every year up to , say 1970 when he would be 90?
that is what you will have to do!

I have searched the database but not like you have said will try that

 But  believe he died before 1931 has his ex wife or widow remarried that year

  but will try like you say  year by year from 1914 to 1931
