I dont know much about the Hotchkiss family.
I have done some research on the Vicars/Vickers family, & trust me there are plenty.
Have you looked on the Family search site, there is lots on the Vicars.
In ther past i have had contact with various people searching Vicars & Armstrong & Hotchkiss.
I'm sure there is a web site regarding the Hotchkiss clan, not sure what address it is, will try & find it.

Hi Bobbi.

Thanks for the interesting information. My great great grandfather Richard Philip Hotchkiss went to work as a miner in Diamondville, Wyoming. Most of my Hotchkiss line ended up working in Wyoming, but they also lived in Ohio.

Richard Philip and Mary Hotchkiss parents were William Hotchkiss and Mary Philip.

My Hotchkiss branch originate from around Carronshore in Stirlingshire and were
also involved in mining in that area.

Rex Hotchkiss has a very comprehensive site here ( http://hotchkissclan.org/ )

If I can help with any other information, please drop me a message :)

Best regards,

Richard
