Edward Hudson
« on: Wednesday 13 May 09 08:37 BST (UK) »
Edward Hudson was a telegraphist/wireless operator on HMS Prince of Wales when it was sunk by the Japanese in 1941. He survived the sinking, but was captured by the Japanese at Singapore and was prisoner of war for the duration. I believe he died at a relatively early age after the war.
He was a member of my family, but I have no idea of when he was born, or who his parents were.
Any suggestions welcomed.

Hello Foulsham
I have googled the name of the ship, there seems to be a lot of information about it, one site has a survivors list, might be worth having a look

regards

Louisa Maud

Hi Louisa,
Thanks for replying. I have seen that site and noted him as surviving. I'm wondering how I can access his naval records without anything other than his name.
Regards,
Don Hudson (Foulsham)

Hi Ron, Edward is my first cousin once removed so I don't know how MoD will regard that. Anyway I'll try.
