Can we have a clue as to the relationship of this relative, or who they are descended from. I know we can't talk specifics, but something general like "George's great niece", or "a relative of Francis" will do, or "via the GR contact".

And just to add, it looks like we have also found the descendant for James Ross.   Through the good work of members here, I've located a suggested lead although have been unable to contact them directly because they are currently away in France.   However, I have spoken to a friend of this person and the details of the family fit exactly into what we have discovered and I am in no doubt it's the descendant we're seeking.

I'd put this into the Ross thread but it's been locked.

Hello all.  I'm new to RootsChat.com.  I'm part of an international group that is researching the Hungerfords and the families that trace back to them.  Part of this research has included a DNA study.  We've conducted 21 tests of Hungerfords from Australia, England, Ireland, and the United States using Ancestry.com's 46 genetic loci paternal lineage test.  One of our participants is a fifth cousin 3 generations removed to George.  Would you want, with his permission, the DNA results and/or do you have George William Hungerford's DNA results?
