Looking for information on ancestors or descendents of James McBride father of Martha McBride born c1857. Martha married Hugh Vincent on 3 Feb 1877 in Belfast.

I am in search of a James McBride too but I doubt it is the same one.... but I will keep an eye out for yours if I come across him.   Do you know any more about his occupation or other members of the family?

Hi Folks,

I am also looking for descendants of James McBride, mine was born in Portaferry on 19/ 11/ 1893. He married Lois Mary Stowe in Northamptonshire on 14/ 04/ 1925 and died at Cowes, Isle of Wight on 21 / 11/ 1938.

His children were : Shelagh b 1926
                              patricia b ?
                              James b 1928

Any information will be very welcome

Hello Prudhoe,

I am also looking for descendants of James McBride and his wife Lois Stowe McBride.  I have recently had some research done on his military record with the Life Guards during the Great War but am really keen to find his children and grandchildren.  I am working on a documentary project on World War 1 and Lois Stowe McBride is a key person in the story I am pursuing. Any help on finding her descendants would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Have been unable to make much progress on the search but am hoping to visit the regimental museum shortly and will, with any luck, make some progress there. Lois M Stowe will, I assume be either deceased or well over 100 years old!!

Hi there.  I saw this on Famly Search and it looks as though a descendant of James and Lois is actually looking to find more info.  I am trying to contact this person.

I am researching my maternal side of the family and trying to trace the marriage/ death records of siblings of James and Lois Mary McBride (Nee Stowe) namely :-
