I thought I would add this occupation to this page, just in case anyone is interested. My great aunt Jane was a Wardrobe Seller, such as she is described in the elctoral role of Rushen Northants. She sold second hand clothes aqnd travelled many miles to top up her wardrobe with the highest quality garments. Some of the clothes she started with came from their family theatre, dress costumes and the like. My aunt Jessie who is still with us tells me that there were silks and satins and many fine garments included from their old theatre costumes, some in part which she still has to this day. The theatre was around from abt 1879-1892.
