glitter2009,

I will be paying a visit to the records office in Liverpool on Tuesday afternoon, is there a specific question that you would like me to ask the staff there?

This is a "shot in the dark" my GGrand-dad John Donoghue ( Donaghue ) died in Toxteth Park Workhouse on the 24th June 1902 aged 46 of pneumonia and T.B.

The only other details on his Death Certificate are his profession and address 12 Clive Street , Liverpool 8 also signature of the Master of the Worhouse ( informant) .

I have been trying to obtain a copy of John's Birth Certificate who was born in Ireland approx 1856 without success , does anyone know if or were there may be details held of his Date of Birth when he was at the Workhouse in question .

Regards

Tony Donoghue

Hi Tony,

I managed to get hold of a copy of the register of deaths which has the date of death, name, age, where admitted, cause of death, when and where buried.

This might be able to give you a clue as to their date of birth.

I got this from the Lancashire records office, and paid £10.00 for this information.
It was filed under Wesham Park Hospital Register of deaths.

I hope this helps. If you contact them by email, they should be able to help you.

You could also look in the 1901 census, search by address and name.

Karen  :-)
