Strange scrimnet ... I have just clicked on the link in your latest post and can get both.... there are 8 pages of UK personel and 3 pages of Australians ... some of which would be UK born but joined the AIF.
I use 'foxit' reader rather than adobe although that should not make any difference.
Try again and see what happens.

Hi All,
I have just checked the Service records of all of these. It looks like only three of them had family in Australia;
Douglas Caswell, 397
Jack Joyce, 1624
James Ross, 1216

The others next of kin have addresses in the UK as listed.

I will have a look on Australian electoral rolls for the Aussie ones.

Hi mum mum,
Hope you will not mind my correcting your pace of the marriages of the 2 girls to STOCKTON, NSW.

Just so as to avoid confusion :D

Hi
Sorry, thats a typo on my part, I wrote down stockton when I looked it up.

Found them both on the electoral rolls and found a living descendant of Nelly's on Ancestry. I have sent her a message and hope she gets back to me.

Here is Margret's death in NSW

34894/1961  LE CORNU,  MARGARET  father EBBORN EDWIN mother  SOPHIE MARY C @ NEWCASTLE

Have had a look about, but can't find anything to take the next step.

Found her husband's parents and family burials around Morpeth and Mudgee, but not John and Magaret's.

There is so much happening with this topic and having just taken a good look at all the posts (I think) I could not find a complete list of names UK and AUS soldiers.
Forgive me if this has already been done .... if not here is a link;

The British link doesn't work.... :o :o :(

ANZAC one does though  ::) ;)

Scrim

Put this into your spreadsheet. It's a tab delimited file.

Bezant (London/Suffolk), West (London/Essex), Walker (Yorkshire), Phillips (West Country - believed Bristol area), Tibbetts (Warwickshire), Armstrong (Co Fermanagh), Harvison (Co Wexford), Neeb (Germany), Becker (Germany), Jakobsson (Finland). Kanneworff (Germany and Denmark)

Still can't open the file....

Is this just an issue betwixt joboy and me, or can anyone else open the British list??
One more charge and then be dumb,
            When the forts of Folly fall,
        May the victors when they come
            Find my body near the wall.
