Unfortunately, the Gurus found on the AF boards do not frequent the Common Room!

I feel that far from being a place where everyone looks, it certainly hides things away from those members who spend their time helping the questioners on AF, and don't have time to look around there! ;D ;D ;D ;D
One more charge and then be dumb,

        May the victors when they come
            Find my body near the wall.

Another UK lad missing at FROMELLES serving with the AIF was 1291 Private George Honey.He was born in Port Isaac, Cornwall 1886 to William Honey, fisherman and his wife Thura. Other siblings then were John(15), Mary(13), Harry(10), James(8) and Gregory (new born).
In 1901 the family were living in Bodmin, Cornwall.
We would love to find his family.

Good morning boykett, and welcome to Rootschat.  ;)

We are gradually giving each of these lads their own thread, as it is getting a bit confusing with all the families which need to be found. So someone will probably give George his own thread soon.  ;D

In the meantime I will see if I can find the Honey family on the 1901 census.

There is so much happening with this topic and having just taken a good look at all the posts (I think) I could not find a complete list of names UK and AUS soldiers.
Forgive me if this has already been done .... if not here is a link;
