For information about the ancestry of Richard Maris (1822-1869) and the Australian branch established by his brother John (1810-1853), see my website at www.marisancestry.co.uk

Just a final up-date then I will mark as COMPLETED.

I have managed to find a Maris desendant in Australia.

Although it is my best friend's Michelle's family lineage, I have
been colating all the information and have all her personal photographs,
gedcoms and certficates etc.

The reason being that I am trying to enter into FTM 2006 for her.

Therefore thanks to all who assisted with request.

Sandy

Hi Sue/Kriss.

Sorry not to have been more helpful.   :(

I mostly answer requests, rather than ask.

Kriss has certainly got the correct family.

I only have a genealogy report for the family, (although it is huge).

I do know that John Maris (father) married Catherine Cockerton.

Rebecca was from West Wratting, there was no mention of her father so thank you Kris for that.

I have quite a few more children being born in Ashfied and Tambaroora, NSW.

When I have pieced together the detailed information I require I will post more.

Thank you both for replying, greatly appreciated.

Sandy
