That's okay it pays to check and double check I really don't mind.
First I was given the information from a relative, then I did a cemetery seach for Christchurch.
I have found several people missing from the NZ BDM historical Index. Newspapers reported deaths and the areas, also births missing.
Had a look at Ryerson Index and have found a John Perrin that matches the 1919 death.late of Enmore
a George Edgar Perrin 1991 late of Canterbury
and a Fred Perrin which is what Granny always referred to him as in her memoirs.late of Concord West
Fred is on my Mums marriage cert as Frederick Richard Perrin ( Labourer)
Army records have occupation as Fisherman
Thought they might all be worth further investigation
