Hi Lynie

What I am seeing on Digger index is slightly different to the info you have posted.

I see Charles Warburton Leonard M CARR b 1877 with parents Charles Warbut CARR and Geraldine Mary CARR

The marriage of Charles Warburton CARR to Geraldine Mary K CURR in 1864.  (Geraldine's mother's name was MICKLETHWEIT, according to the Digger index)

The death of
CARR Charles Warburton
death  1888 at Avoca, age 64, parents Thomas Carpenter and Susanna Frances WARBURTON

However, I couldn't find a marriage either for their child Charles Warburton Leonard CARR.

I assume you have the death of Geraldine 1899 at Cranbourne aged 55 Reg 5377

Also on the same page is a daughter for Percival and Constance born Malvern 1898 Reg 20302

Cheers, Judith

Charles Warburton Carr is my gt-gt-granduncle. I have a lot of dates and details about his family and his ancestors would love to exchange information.  I'm particularly interested to know if Cecil Garnet Warburton Carr's children have any living descendants as there is an event coming up in Feb 2011 and it would be great to involve a direct descendant of Charles Warburton Carr.

You may already have this.
http://www.prov.vic.gov.au/indexes/index_search.asp?searchid=54

PROV has a digitised will for

Charles Warburton CARR, Police Magistrate and Warden, of Avoca
Died: 30 Jul 1888
Probate granted: 27 Sep 1888

He leaves all to his wife,
Geraldine Mary Katherine CARR,
and appoints her guardian of his children and executrix.  The will is witnessed by Leonard ROBINSON of Talbot and Gerald Affleck SCOTT of Maryborough, both surgeons, so perhaps he was aware that he was likely to die.  His estate was valued at about 900 pounds.  Will dated 24 July 1888.

Thanks. I do have his will. It's his great-grandchildren that I am trying to find and I think the only possibility is through his daughter Cecil Garnet Warburton Carr who married John Mickle Lyall in 1899. She died in 1904, soon after the birth of their 4th son.

Hi,

Do you know anything about a ward of the state, Arthur Charles Hayes, being 'licensed out' to Charles Warburton Carr in April 1869?
