I had checked out both the sites you mentioned before and I thank your for taking time out to reply to my query.


James in the st directory is my gggrandfather, his wife was Maria.

The Canavan's  in Brook St hoh is my ggrandfather, and my grandfather Charles is shown as a young boy aged, 6 sadly he died when he was 41 so I never knew him.

The Thomas Canavan aged 30 living in Brook Street was my gg grandfather. His oldest son james, was my g grandfather. I think you have got families mixed up and i think that there was 2 canavan families living in that area at the time.

Hi, I think I may have a connection to this.  My Grandfather is the James Canavan aged 6, in the 1911 census, living in 8 Brook Street, which makes Thomas Canavan my ggrandfather, his wife was Margaret.  They had the children named in the census and also more after.  My father is (John officially) Sean Canavan, son of James.  My name is Nuala Canavan. It would be nice to hear if there is a connection.
