I Have just received a death certificate of an ancestor who died age 40. But cause of death is stated as Debility and underneath Certified. can anyone clarify this.

I can't get this link to work - am I doing something wrong? I always thought debility was probably what they put when they didn't really know why the person died - so I'd like to read the proper definition.

In general, debility refers to a loss of strength. In medicine, debility refers to being weak or feeble

If you click on the link, then on the page that comes up, click on the bit that says
Please search for Debility (medical in Wikipedia
then scroll down to where it says Debility (medical), click on that and up it comes
