1851 census - Thomas Kyle

Hi

I wonder if someone with access to the 1851 census of Scotland could search for Thomas Kyle (Kyle is his surname).  He was born in Glasgow in about 1766 and died after 1856.  His wife was Mary (nee Stevenson) who was born about the same time, but I don't have any information about her date of death.

Children were Robert, Flora, Thomas, Elizabeth, James, Janet, (another) Thomas, William, (another) James and John Hartley, born between 1792 and 1810, so I would be very surprised if any of them were still at home in 1851.

There were probably lots of Thomas Kyles, so I'm sorry this is so vague.

Hope someone can help.

Hi Cyfrifydd,

What information do you have for Thomas' dates? If they are correct, he would be around 90 in 1856 - quite an age for that period, but certainly not impossible of course.

The only possible for 1841 I see is:

Address: Union Street, North Street, Barony
Thomas Kyle, m, 70, beamer, b. Ireland
Mary Kyle, f, 75, -, b. Ireland

I don't see either Thomas or Mary in 1851 though.

Hello I to am looking for a KYLE , but it was my grt gma Johanna she married James mc Kenna. abt 1860 both born Ireland . she was in Liverpool 1881 census.  widowed with 5 childern one of them my grandfather William mc kenna
